narrative of Helen Keller response

After reading the narative by Helen Keller, it gave me so much insight on what it could have possibly been like to live the life she did, and to be put in her shoes. It would have been extremely difficult to try to learn words, let alone an entire language when you're blind and deaf. I can't even fathom the idea of having words spelled out on your hand, right in front of your eyes but not even being able to see them, just relying on the feel of them. It made me have so much more respect for her than before I read this.
